“Take a painterly approach to capturing a spring scene today by shooting out of focus (on purpose)”.

The assignment reminded me a bit of Monet’s work, so I thought a photo of a tulip field might be a nice homage. Technically it was easy – as Erin, I often take pictures out of focus, but normally unintentionally  🙂 I don’t like to look through the viewfinder with my glasses on, so manual focus is hard to work with anyway…

  1. Such a good choice of subject! And this really has a Monet feel to it. Nice 🙂

    I like too that you’ve shot a shape with a band of green at the top of the frame which extends past the shape. It brings my eye back around the edges of the frame to start all over again at the bottom.
